Hi, I am Jayasmita Dutta.

Mom – Risk Professional – Artist – Traveller – Saree lover – Dreamer

I like to call myself a ‘learner on the journey of self-discovery’. This journey began after I became a mom, which was liberating for many reasons, especially because I wanted to lead by examples. In this journey, I found the doodle artist in me. Earlier I used to do a lot of oil paintings as I had the time and focus. Now as a working mother, I crave for more time and whatever pockets of time I get becomes my “me-time”. It can be spending time with my husband, watching movies, some time on Instagram, and if the mood is correct – I doodle. Doodles need a lot of concentration, however, the demand for logistics is less (need a pen and paper) and aren’t messy.

I learned art on my own (a raw talent I would say) and so my art is unrefined, free-flowing and inexperienced. I celebrate imperfections. Perfecting something is too much effort and energy. I like to focus energy where it really matters.

There are a lot of elements corporate life taught me, the most important one is understanding how to utilize one’s strengths and not waste time in bettering weaknesses. I focus on my strengths to arrive at the perfect harmony and live happily. Happiness is an everyday goal, every moment for that matter.

I have taken doodle art seriously and I have people approaching me to make custom doodles. I look forward to many such projects.

About the artist picture

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. However, I was never consistent and always dropped it in the midway. There was a time when I didn’t draw for about three years and now that I think about it, it was the most restless phase of my life. This was because I didn’t realize that drawing was an intrinsic element of my being and I can hardly carry on without it. My art always made me feel insecure and I never had the courage to showcase it publicly. However, that changed in August 2017, the first time when I posted some comics online. These weren’t recently drawn, though. I drew them during my 12th boards but never mustered enough courage to post them. Although I do not have a mass following, I think sharing at least some part of my work was one of the best decisions I have made until now. I am now fully aware that drawing is not just a mere hobby for me, but a lot more than words can explain and I am never going to give it up ever again.

Hi, I am Neha Jain (24) a self-taught artist from Bangalore.  Ever since I can remember, I have been involved in all things creative…Though I have completed my Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, it’s Art that always fascinated me…This led me to look on to the courses in animation…. however, I couldn’t make it up…I later made the decision to create illustrations and doodles…Fortunately, from the very first doodle in the year 2017, I knew immediately what I wanted to do and that was doodling. My work navigates through day to day random incident and thoughts as I like being impulsive with my art. Currently, as a personal project, I am working on a comic strip which I am quite excited about.
