Q1: Would you kindly introduce yourself to our reader? Along with the genre of your photography and on which project are you working currently? What do you consider your greatest achievement?
A: Hii, I am Subhro Das, I generally reside with the genre of fashion and editorial photography, specializing in beauty portraits and retouching skills. There are lots of projects on which I am working
Q2: What attracts you to your genre? Whose work has influenced you most?
There are many names such as Dan Hecho, Dani Diamond,and other photographers as sir Tarun Vishwa , Tarun Khiwal, Arjun Mark, Tina Eisen and so on whose work has always been my inspiration and teachings from these people through social media texts and other helps has made me so strong towards my work that I will always salute these people to be my mentors as well.
Q3: Is it important to have any professional training to be a photographer? Did you have any at the time you set of your journey?
A: Exactly it is very important to have a proper learning towards any work u what so ever u do in life.
Yes, of course, I had. I was the favorite student of that person with homeless study
Q4: When you go in one of your photo-shoot which one is your favorite lens and why do you prefer it?
A: Sigma 35mm 1.4 art lens,
Q5: How do you as a photographer make sure that the thing, person or landscape you want to shoot looks the way you want it to?
A: PERFECTION means for me the most so I’m always sure about about my work.
Q6: Can you explain to the budding photographer what makes the good picture stand out from the average?
A: Three things thta matter to me the most… FRAMING,COMPOSITION AND EXPOSURE TRIANGLE of the pictures that determines everything for the picturs.
Q7: What does fashion mean to you?
Q8: When you get an idea in your head for a photo, how do you go about getting that shot?
A: I first go for the layout of the work then I execute it
Q9: How do you get the perfect expression or pose from your models? How do you make them understand your exact thoughts?
A: Lots of words to speak to a model and making her or him understand the expressions are very important aspect in portrait photography and to show them all what i want is very much needed.
Q10: How important is location, background and light in portrait photography?
A: Its as important as salt in a cooked food.
Q11: Which post processing software you use for your pictures?
A: ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CC 2019.
Q12: Many of the photographers ask us where they find out about the salon news or exhibition news. Can you please give them some idea?
A: Social media is the best platform that made you also reach me.. so its the best.
Q13: Name the last photography book/journal that you read.
A: Picturing Time by RAGHU RAI
Q14: Nowadays almost everyone has access to devices with which it is possible to take pictures. What do you think is the difference between a professional photographer and any other amateur photographer?
A: Obviously there is a difference between a raw food and a cooked food…
