Getting to Know Fine Artist and Muralist – Joyeeta (@joyeeta.joyart)
It is said that Art is like poetry that enriches the soul, connects one to its deeper realizations and awakens the soul to a higher perspective. In the words of the master Leonardo Da Vinci, “A painter should begin every canvas with a wash of black because all things in nature are dark except where exposed by the light“
With changing times, Art is not confined to canvas and oil painting only. We now have various forms and mediums of art and we feel that traditional or digital, every art piece is beautiful. The effort, love, and dedication that every artist puts in his or her work is something to be appreciated, valued, and treasured always. Instagram is a great platform where you can showcase your talents in any field, but especially in Art. So we at Weekendtrivia tried to connect to artists across the globe and tried to know them better for us and for our viewers.
Today we have with us the extremely talented Fine artist and muralist and our absolute favourite – Joyeeta from Studio Joyeeta. When we started to write something about her, honestly, we were at a loss of words. How do you actually describe someone whose work inspires you so much and whom you admire beyond any adjectives..? For us, what Jamini Roy was to the yesteryears, Joyeeta is for contemporary times. Her artworks, which she curates along with her partner Mr. Ghosh is like visual storytelling. She is a strong feminist, and by feminism, she actually means equality, not any romanticised imagination living in the trend. Her thoughts and ideologies are strongly echoed through her artworks. She is vocal, she is a voracious propagator of her gender and she embodies everything that her work is made of. To know more about her read on.

I am a full time artist. My art pays my bills, even prasenjit joined so ..it brings money to survive. I would never say art is a convinient and easy career option.it is tough to survive and it may give a constant anxiety and risk for financial reason.. but for me it worked really well.
