The craze and madness and enthusiasm regarding weddings is endless and continues throughout the length and breadth of the country. And Wedding photography is an important part of the entire occasion. There is Pre-Wedding photography, there are hundreds of rituals that need to be captured perfectly, candid and emotional moments that only the photographer can understand and produce.
And an expert in this field is Jay Mukherjee who is a professional wedding photographer. He understands the subtle nuances that is required for capturing two souls in love and renders them perfectly. He is based from Kolkata. To know more about him, read the interview with him.

Q. Would you kindly introduce yourself to our reader? Along with the genre of your photography and on which project are you working currently?
A: I started capturing in my early teenage. And gradually it became my profession. Mainly I do all kind of Commercial assignments like weddings, events, etc.. But Landscape and Travel photography is my favourite thing to spend the free time on.
Q. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
A: Winning the National level Photographic competitions and Acceptances in International and National salons are some of my achievements.
Q. What attracts you to your genre? Whose work has influenced you most?
A: Travel, Landscape, and Wedding are my Fav. And I like to follow Mr. Sutirtha Basu..
Q. Is it important to have any professional training to be a photographer? Did you have any at the time you set off your journey?
A: R&D, experiments done by self is the best way to gain knowledge. But yes in some cases you will have an extra advantage to having a certificate from a known institution.
Q. When you go in one of your photo-shoots which one is your favorite lens and why do you prefer it?
A: There is no fixed time to go for a shoot.
Q. A “Good Camera can make a Picture perfect” do you believe this myth?
Q. What is that you have adhered to and learned through photography over the years?
A.: Along with the photographic lessons, this profession helped me to meet more and more people, it helps me to understand the different cultures and communities.

A: Adobe and Snapseed

A. Mainly the blogs and books on photography in Himalayas
