The Quintessential Kolkata Book Fair
If you reside in West Bengal and you happen to love books, (which happens more often than not) then you are sure in a habit to visit the annual International Kolkata Book Fair ( officially Antarjatik Kolkata Boimela) and that sort of forms an essential part of your winter season. The International Kolkata Bookfair is renowned not only in Bengal but worldwide because it happens to be the largest Book Fair in the world.
The book fair was started on a small scale in 1976 by the Kolkata Publishers and Booksellers Guild. It is the world’s largest non-trade book fair, Asia’s largest book fair and the most attended book fair in the world. It is the world’s third largest annual conglomeration of books after the Frankfurt Book Fair and the London Book Fair.
The 43rd International Kolkata Book Fair was held from 31st January to 11th February 2019 at the Central Park Mela Complex. Here are a few glimpses.

I have started photography in 2013. At first, I used to click with my smartphone but from 2014’s December I switch to DSLR because it gives me a wide range of features which was lacking in a smartphone. Nowadays I am more geared towards life and street photography because I think anyone can relate to the composition of the frame. Also, as an IT (software developer) guy, photography gives me relaxation which is much needed in my professional life.
